Cody J. Miller received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Dakota College of Arts and Sciences in 2013 where he majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish. After a period of working and raising a family, he returned to the University of South Dakota School of Law to obtain his Juris Doctorate Degree.
During his time at USD School of Law, he was elected as a class officer, a member of the Disciplinary Board, Trial Team Member, and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board where he won the awards of Finalist Mediator, and Champion Mediator at the University of Houston Law Center National Mediator Competition in 2018 and 2019 respectively. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from USD School of Law in the spring of 2020 and was admitted to practice law in South Dakota in the fall of 2020. During his time as a law student, he completed an internship working with the Unified Judicial System (UJS) in Pierre and has joined the Rural Attorney Recruitment Program through the UJS which led him to the Madison area. |
